The best quality Caterpillar Fungus that grow in the wild can fetch up to USD 50,000 a pound and is outside the financial mean of everyone except royalties and the ultra rich. Much effort has gone into cultivating the Caterpillar fungus in controlled environment. The price is now within the mean of many people but it is still a high value product.
